Michele Gennaro Ferraro passed away on Monday, January 30, 2023, at the age of 80 years.

Michele is survived by his wife of 54 years, Emma; sons, Francesco (Leesa) and Adriano (Brianne); grandsons, Jack, Michael, Marc and Charles; sisters, Domenica Dal Pezzo, Adelina (Antonio) Sanmartin and Luigina Persi; brothers, Antonio of Italy, Pietro (Anjelica), Attanasio (Daniela), Peppino (Maren), all of Germany; sisters-in-law, Erbina Bernardo of Ontario, Carmela Storti; brother-in-law, Guiseppe (Luisa) Bernardo; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, Emilia Maria Castagnaro and Francesco Ferraro; and sister, Rosetta Ferraro.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of the Sturgeon Community Hospital for their kindness, compassion and care.

Family and friends may pay their respects Monday, February 6, 2023, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Park Memorial, 9709 – 111 Avenue NW, Edmonton. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Santa Maria Goretti Roman Catholic Church, 9110 - 110 Avenue NW, Edmonton. A private entombment will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Lung Association and/or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
