It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kristin Dowsett on March 11, 2019 surrounded by her family.
Beloved wife of Robert Dowsett; and cherished mother to Ty and Ethan. Survived by her parents, Mike and Kathi (Prieur) Maitre; siblings, Danielle (Duane) and Jonathan; and grandparents, Joe and Joyce Maitre. Lovingly remembered daughter-in-law of Alan and Pamela Dowsett, sister-in-law of Joanne (Bob), Meghan (Chad) and Heather (Kody); and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cherished “framily”. Predeceased by grandparents, Louis and Virginia Prieur.
Kristin grew up in Windsor, ON and at age seven moved to St. Albert, AB. She graduated in 1998 from the RCMP Training Depot in Regina, SK. Kristin spent 20 years between Shamattawa, Portage la Prairie, Amaranth, Winnipeg, High Prairie and Whitecourt. While in High Prairie, Kristin finally met a man who would put up with her and Rob became the love of her life. Special thanks to the staff at the Whitecourt Healthcare Centre and the Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton.
Funeral Service Thursday, March 21 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 5538 Mink Creek Road, Whitecourt.
