Obituary for William (Bill) Storoschuk

William (Bill) Storoschuk
It is with heavy hearts that we announce on May 12, 2019, Bill passed away at the age of 85 years. Bill (Dido) is survived by his children, Tina (Ginter) Hilbrecht, Dwayne (Jitka) Storoschuk, Sandra McLean and Lori (Ivan) Plivelic; grandchildren, Jordan, Samantha, Preston, Miranda and Zena; sister, Vicki; sister-in-law Mary; brother in-law, Paul; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Zena; son, Darren; and parents, Peter and Anne.
Raised on a farm during the great depression, Bill always believed in loyalty, hard work and honesty; instilling those values in his children. He started his career as a truck driver and during his 37 years with a major transportation company, he rose to the position of Terminal Manager. His retirement years were spent gardening, cooking and doing charitable work with the Rotary Club. Always a loving father and grandfather, he was famous for his long weekend barbecues, which was his highlight of summer months. Winters would find him in Mexico, hanging out by the pool. He will be missed by us all.
Funeral Service Wednesday, May 22 at 1:00 p.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton. Reverend Janko Herbut officiating with interment in St. Michael’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association.
