It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a kind and generous lady, Sophie Sywolos, who passed away peacefully on October 23, 2018, at the age of 99 years.
Sophie will be lovingly remembered by her family, Howard (Carol, deceased) and his sons, Stephen, Shaun, Scott; Douglas and his sons, Nathan (Courtney) and Logan (Amber). She is survived by her sister-in-law, Elsie Woywitka; numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her husband, Steve in July 1986; parents, Michael and Anna Woywitka; brothers, Nick, Bill, Fred, Jack, Andy; and sister, Mary.
Special thanks to the staff and residents at the Rosslyn Lodge where she resided for the past 9 years.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, October 30 at 11:00 a.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 - 111 Avenue with interment in Beechmount Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her husband Steve. If so desired, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sophie's name to the charity of one's choice
